My Free impressions from Paris

Paris from above (I)

Why we didn´t see Paris from the top of the Eiffel´s Tower I´ve already depicted in one of my previous posts. Now I´m going to tell you about how we could compensate this great lack.

This lack was compensated by the highest occupied building in Paris (The Fig.1,2). First we could see it from the foot of the Eiffel´s Tower at a distance.

We went to the building by a taxi cab. During the drive first I could see the Chámps-Elyssés, something like several Venceslaw´s squares (the famous square in the Prague center) in one. We encircled the Victory Arc there and back again and for a while we got out of our taxi near to the highest occupied building in Paris.
I´ve known no details about it but I´ve though it has been occupied rather by various firms and public offices than by private inhabitants.

I noticed that the Lafayette´s Gallery stood next to it. Down in the vestibule we bought tickets and after a short check of our bags we could go over to the two lifts with a lift-woman at them. Her task was to cord the lifts with a given number of people. Unlike the Eiffel´s Tower there were no fronts in the small hall before the lifts so that a while later we were fastly lifting up to the top of the Parisian skydraper.
Our lift stopped a few floors under the roof. We left it and we found themselves in a wide ring encircling the central axis of the whole building.
The outer wall of this ring consisted of big glassy windows giving splended views over Paris. There were tables and chairs alongside the outer glassy wall, you could sit there and buy something to eat or to drink on the opposite side. We didn´t make use of the choice and we kept passing through the corridor of the big circle and of course, every moment I was taking pictures. It was a fascinating spectacle. Besides, no crowds of people, no fighting for the places at the big glassy views.

We were lucky for the rainbow again after our visit to The Sacré Coeur (The Fig.3). Though often it was raining and the sky was cloudy from time to time the Sun could send its rays down through clouds. The weather guaranteed the rainbow effect with a high probability.
It was as if you found yourself in a big circle gallery with a plenty of various pictures painted by the only master, by Paris itself.

In one moment my attention was attracted to a large cemetery (The Fig.4). I took several pictures of it, some of them captured this place of the last rest in a more detail. (The Fig.5, 6)

The Czech Version

Mé volné dojmy z Paříže

Paříž shora (I)

Proč jsme neviděli Paříž s vrcholu Eiffelky jsem už vylíčil v jednom ze svých předešlých blogů. Teď se vám chystám povědět o tom, jak jsme tento velký nedostatek dokázali kompenzovat. 

Tento nedostatek byl kompenzován nejvyšší obytnou budovou v Paříži (Obr.1,2). Poprvé jsme ji mohli vidět od úpatí Eiffelovy věže v dálce.

K té budově jsme jeli taxíkem. Během jízdy jsem mohl poprvé uvidět Chámps Elyssés, Elysejsská pole, něco jako několik Václaváků (slavné náměstí v centru Prahy) v jednom. Objeli jsme Vítězný oblouk tam a zase zpět a po chvíli jsme z taxíku vystoupili nedaleko nejvyšší obytné budovy v Paříži.  Neznám o ní podrobnosti, ale myslím, že je spíše než soukromými obyvateli zabrána rozmanitými firmami a veřejnými úřady.

Všiml jsem si, že vedle ní stojí Lafayettova Galerie. Dole ve vstupní hale jsme si zakoupili lístky a po krátké kontrole našich báglů jsme mohli přejít ke dvěma výtahům s výtahářkou u nich. Měla za úkol naplnit výtahy daným počtem lidí. Na rozdíl od Eiffelky v malé hale před výtahy žádné fronty nebyly, takže po chvíli jsme rychle stoupali k vrcholu paříšského mrakodrapu. Náš výtah zastavil několik málo pater pod střechou. Opustili jsme ho a ocitli se v širokém prstenci obkružujícím centrální osu celé budovy.
Vnější stěna prstence sestává z velkých skleněných oken poskytujících nádherné výhledy na Paříž. Podél zevní skleněné stěny jsou stolky a židle, mohli jste se tam posadit a koupit si něco k jídlu či pití na protější straně. Tuhle volbu jsme nevyužili a dál jsme procházeli tím velkým kruhem a samozřejmě, já každou chvilku fotil. Byla to fascinující podívaná. Navíc, žádné davy, žádné zápolení o místa u velkých skleněných výhledů.

Po návštěvě Sacré Coeur jsme měli opět kliku na duhu (Obr.3). I když často pršelo a nebe bylo zatažené, Slunce občas dokázalo seslat dolů skrze mraky své paprsky. Počasí zajišťovalo duhový efekt s vysokou pravděpodobností.
Bylo to, jako když se ocitnete v nějaké obří galerii se spoustou různých obrazů namalovaných jediným mistrem, Paříží samou.

V jedné chvíli mou pozornost upoutal velký hřbitov (Obr.4). Pořídil jsem několik jeho obrázků, některé z nich zachycují toto místo posledního odpočinku detailněji (Obr.5, 6).
