How My Orchids Have Been

This post of mine brings an actual photo-collection I did during last two months (September, December, 2015). The photos have documented how my orchids have been in the course of last mild winter here in Czech republic.

You have known their flowers from some of my previous posts but despite this fact I decided to show you the current phases of their flowering or some of their interesting parts other than flowers again. Though their flowers have always been the same in color, in size, in form as well as in details their dimensional arrangements have always been a bit different. This is why their flowering has always been authentic and original whether you have seen it three times or more times.

The Fig.5 was taken on the 5-th December 2015 and you can see that all flowers of the first spike are opened already. This fully flowering inflorescence look likes an excited cobra in profile. The droplets at the bases of flowers or buds and of their peduncles are products of nectaries. They are visible clearly almost on each photo of this photo-collection.

While the first spike in flowers turns with its top to the plant´s foliage the second in buds arches above the first with its top running from the plant.
The current flowering of my Cymbi has been remarkable with the two spikes in one time. It has formed them at the first time under my conditions.

Tento můj post přináší aktuální foto-kolekci, kterou jsem pořídil během posledních dvou měsíců (listopad, prosinec, 2015). Snímky dokumentují, jak se mé orchidky mají v průběhu letošní mírné zimy tady v České republice.

Znáte už jejich květy z některých předchozích postů, ale vzdor tomu jsem se rozhodl ukázat vám současné fáze jejich kvetení nebo jejich jiné zajímavé části než květy znovu. I když mají jejich květy vždycky stejnou barvu, velikost, tvar a také detaily, jejich prostorové uspořádání je pokaždé trochu odlišné. Proto je kvetení pokaždé autentické a původní, ať je vidíte třikrát nebo vícekrát.

Obr.5 byl pořízen 5. prosince 2015 a můžete vidět, že všechny květy prvního květenství jsou už otevřené. Toto naplno kvetoucí květenství vypadá v profilu jako podrážděná kobra. Kapičky na bázích květů či poupat a jejich květních stopek jsou produktem medníků (nektárií). Jsou jasně viditelné skoro na každém snímku téhle fotokolekce.

Zatímco první kvetoucí květenství se stáčí vrcholem k olistění rostliny, druhé v poupatech se klene nad prvním s vrcholem, který od rostliny odbíhá.
Současné kvetení Cymbi je pozoruhodné dvěma květenstvími v jedné době. V mých podmínkách je vytvořila poprvé.
