My Two Phalaenopsis Orchids in Buds

One of the most often orchids having been published on the G+ belongs to the Phalaenopsis the genus. I´ve seen one post on The G+ not too long time ago in which its author writes that from time to time our dreams come to reality. He dreamed about flowering of his Phalaenopsis. It never showed its flowers to him till that time. When he woke up he found that his orchid formed a flowering stem full of buds. He documented it with one photo.
Today (02.26.´15) I took several shots of my two Phale-orchids in buds. Some of them are going to open themselves within a couple of days. I look forward to the beauty of their flowers as I can do it every year in this time.

But I must warn you. If your plants have buds it needn´t mean that they will flower surely. The buds can go away before flowering. Therefore keep your plants at the colder temperature with sufficient humidity. My plants are placed in a large aquarium standing on a window sill of the window facing to the East. Unfortunately, there´s an unite of the central heating just under the window sill. On the other hand the window permeates an outside cold air partly into my room. This cold air and regular watering of the aquarium´s bottom compensate for the heat coming from down. Despite this one of the buds went away when I had no time to water the bottom as usually. You can see a scar after it on the flowering stem with the plant having bigger buds. You can see it at the best on the figure of the num. 3.

Moje dvě orchideje rodu Phalaenopsis (můrovník) v poupatech

Jedna z nejčastějších orchidejí zveřejňovaných na G+ patří do rodu můrovník (Phalaenopsis). Nedávno jsem na G+ viděl příspěvek, v němž jeho autor píše, že občas se sny stávají skutečností. Zdálo se mu, že jeho falík vykvetl. Do té doby mu květy nikdy nepředvedl. Když se probudil, zjistil, že jeho orchidea tvoří květenství plné poupat. Doložil ho jedním snímkem.

Já jsem dnes (26.2.´15) pořídil několik záběrů svých dvou můrovníků v poupatech. Některá z nich se chystají otevřít během pár dní. Jako každoročně v tomto čase se těším na krásu jejich květů.
Musím vás ale varovat. Mají-li vaše rostliny poupata, neznamená to, že určitě pokvetou. Poupata mohou uvadat před kvetením. Proto rostliny pěstujte při chladnější teplotě s dostatečnou vlhkostí.

Moje rostliny jsou umístěny ve velkém akváriu stojícím na okenním parapetě okna hledícího k východu. Naneštěstí je pod tímto parapetem radiátor ústředního vytápění. Na druhou stranu okno propouští do pokoje částečně venkovní chladný vzduch. Chladný vzduch a pravidelná zálivka dna akvária vyvažují teplo přicházející zdola. Přesto jedno z poupat odešlo, když jsem neměl čas zavlažit dno jako obvykle. Na květním stvolu u rostliny s většími poupaty můžete vidět jizvu po něm. Nejlépe ji můžete vidět na obrázku č. 3.
