The Part Three / On Next Treasures of The Meadow at Vsetín The Town

We have still been in Ježůvka the preserved habitat at Vsetín the town and it has still been Thursday, (9.6. 2016). Of course, in my narration at least.
Let´s notice the alone bushes in the meadow, I have already meant in the first part, in the more detailed way. Let´s become more familiar with them. Their branches resembled brooms, some of them looked like the brooms quite shabby, i.e. that the bushes had to be very old and then they had to remember the old golden times. It occurred to me that they looked like forgotten brooms of some witches. At the closer view I could see that they were in fruit.

You can see their strobiles resembling pale greenish berries on my pictures but in fact the fruits are the right strobiles. This low bush or a small tree rarely is our original member of Cupressaceae the family. Its botanic name in Latin is Juniperus communis.You can come upon other members of this family in urban parks and private gardens rather than in wild in my country because they are cultivated and their origins are in the warmer countries.

Also there were numerous non flowering herbs with marked massive leafy rosettes at the upper level of the habitat. Their leaves were erected and widely lanceolar. If you looked into their centers you could see one big berry like bud in each of them. According to various clues I judge that the leafy rosettes on my photos belong to Gladiolus imbricatus (Iridaceae the family). Unfortunately, we were not lucky because we were in the right place but at the wrong time to be able to enjoy its flowering phase.

An additional notice:
As soon as my friend Adam Majer saw this latest post he responded to the photos of the leafy rosettes with buds in their centers (the fig.7 and the fig.8). He thinks they belong to Colchicum autumnale (Liliaceae) rather than Gladiolus imbricatus. Well, this may be an example of how the crowd sourcing can work, too. The outcome can be more exact information to the author as well as to his readers. I thank you Adam for your correction!

Pořád jsme v chráněné lokalitě Ježůvce u Vsetína a stále je čtvrtek (9.6. 2016). Samozřejmě, že alespoň v mém vyprávění.

Povšimněme si osamocených keřů v louce, které jsem už zmínil v první části, podrobněji. Seznamme se s nimi blíže. Jejich větve se podobaly košťatům, některé z nich vypadaly jako košťata dost opotřebovaná, tzn., že ty keře musely být velmi staré, a tedy si musí pamatovat staré zlaté časy. Napadlo mě, že vypadají jako zapomenutá košťata nějakých čarodějek. Při bližším pohledu jsem mohl vidět, že jsou plodné. Na mých obrázcích můžete vidět jejich šištice připomínající bledavě zelenkavé bobule, ale ve skutečnosti jsou tyto plody pravé šištice. Tento nízký keř či vzácně stromek je naším původním členem čeledi cypřišovitých (Cupressaceae). Jeho botanické latinské jméno je Juniperus communis (jalovec obecný). V mé vlasti můžete narazit na jiné členy této čeledi spíše v městkých parcích a soukromých zahradách než v přírodě, protože jsou pěstované a jejich původ je v teplejších krajinách.

V horní úrovni lokality byly také početné nekvetoucí byliny s nápadnými masivními listovými růžicemi. Listy byly vzpřímené a široce kopinaté. Když jste se podívali do jejich středů, mohli jste v každém z nich vidět jeden velký kulovitý pupen. Podle různých vodítek soudím, že listové růžice na mých fotografiích patří mečíku střecholistému (Gladiolus imbricatus) z čeledi kosatcovitých (Iridaceae). Bohužel, neměli jsme štěstí, protože jsme byli na správném místě, ale ve špatném čase, abychom si mohli užít jeho květní fázi.

Dodatečná poznámka:
Jakmile přítel Adam Majer uviděl tenhle nejnovější post, reagoval na listové růžice s pupeny ve středech (obr.7 a obr.8). Domnívá se, že patří spíše ocúnu jesennímu (Colchicum autumnale) než mečíku střecholistému (Gladiolus imbricatus). Inu, tohle snad může být příklad toho, jak taky může fungovat crowd sourcing. Výstup může být přesnější informací pro autora i pro jeho čtenáře. Děkuju Vám Adame za opravu!
