The World Chess in The End of Last Year

When I was younger the chess belonged to one of my most favorite table games. I liked playing the game. First I begun to notice its existence when the World Chess Championship was held between two excellent chess players: Boris Spaskij (USSR) vers. Robert Fisher (USA) in Reykyavik, Iceland. Then I started playing it and the start was very naive. Gradually I was getting more experiences and I was learning to combine by heart. I never was a member of a chess club. I always remained to be an only amateur.

I studied the chess literature with all the famous games, with all the theoretical foundations of the chess game in its opening, in its medium game and in its finishing phase.

Now, from time to time I have played a game or two with my son, the times of my frequent playing the chess have been over. My interest in the chess game was increased in the end of last year. Then me and my son watched the live broadcast of the Chess World Championship between Magnus Carlson (Norway) and Sergej Karyakin (Russia) held in New York through the Internet. Again I could see that the famous saying - you can´t step twice in the one and the same river - declared by the Greece philosopher Herakleitos has still held good. Since the times of Boris Spaskij and Robert Fisher the things have changed very deeply. Today, in fact the real winner, the world chess master, has been no man but the artificial intelligence (AI). Now we have had two new categories. The AI have already been able to win the best chess players of the world. M. Carlson and S. Karyakin have already been students of the chess programs rather than students of their successful and excellent past and present human colleagues. This was unthinkable in the times of R. Fisher and B. Spaskij.

Well, as we have overcome our own senses for example by microscopes and by telescopes in the case of our eyes for many times as we have been able to overcome the abilities of our brain in a similar way.

Magnus Carlson has won the title of the chess king. But in fact the absolute title should belong to the AI.

Světový šach koncem minulého roku

Když jsem byl mladší, šachy patřily k jedné z mých nejoblíbenějších stolních her. Rád jsem tu hru hrál. Poprvé jsem si její existence začal všímat, když se pořádal Světový šachový šampionát v islandském Reykjavíku mezi dvěma vynikajícími šachisty, Borisem Spaským (SSSR) a Robertem Fisherem (USA). Tehdy jsem je začal hrát a počátek byl velmi naivní. Postupně jsem získával více zkušeností a učil jsem se kombinovat nazpaměť. Nikdy jsem nebyl členem šachového klubu. Vždy jsem zůstal pouhý amatér.

Studoval jsem šachovou literaturu se všemi slavnými partiemi, s veškerými teoretickými základy šachové hry v jejím zahájení, ve střední hře a v koncovce.

Teď si občas zahraju pár her se synem, doba častého hraní šachů je pryč. Můj zájem o šachy se zvýšil koncem loňského roku. Tehdy jsme se synem sledovali živý přenost Světového šachového šampionátu mezi Magnusem Carlsonem (Norsko) a Sergejem Karijakinem (Rusko) v New Yorku prostřednictvím Internetu. Opět jsem mohl vidět, že slavný výrok - nemůžeš vstoupit dvakrát do jedné a téže řeky - prohlášený řeckým filosofem Herakleitem stále platí. Od časů Borise Spaského a Roberta Fishera se věci hluboce změnily. Dnes vlastně skutečným vítězem, mistrem světa v šachu, není člověk, ale umělá inteligence. Teď máme dvě nové kategorie. Umělá inteligence už dokáže porážet nejlepší šachisty světa. M. Carlson a S. Karijakin jsou už spíše stutenti šachových programů než studenti svých úspěšných a vynikajících minulých a současných lidských kolegů. V dobách R. Fishera a B. Spaského bylo tohle nemyslitelné.

Jako jsme už překonali své smysly mnohokrát například mikroskopy a dalekohledy v případě našeho zraku, tak jsme podobně schopni překonávat schopnosti našeho mozku.

Titul šachového krále získal Magnus Carlson. Ale ve skutečnosti by absolutní titul měl patřit umělé inteligenci.
