The Smarter Things The More Stupid People

The Fig.1: The smarter things the more stupid people.
Obr.1: Čím chytřejší věci, tím blbější lidé.

Our late poet Jiří Wolker wrote "I love things, the silent comrades..." Today maybe he would write: "I dislike things, the dangerous clever comrades....".
We have lived in the times of the fascinating progress of technology. But every progress have brought its drawback, too. In the meantime mostly we have been able to perceive its lighter side. We have spoken of smart phones, of smart washing machines, of smart refrigerators etc. but it has not been enough. Now we have already had smart working unites doing almost all the manual work for us. The working class has been at the edge of its extinction. I recall the science fiction vision written by Kurt Vonnegut called The Mechanical Piano in which the author has already predicted these consequences several decades ago.

But it has not still been enough. We have thought of smart houses which have been able to assemble themselves and vice versa, which have been able to keep themselves under self control. Today we have imagined smart towns and it has not been an only fantasy. The first concrete steps to them have been realizing.

Some thinkers have been afraid of negative impacts of the AI on our own natural intelligence. The more the AI has been penetrating to our everyday lives the more we have been relying on it. And the more we have relied on it the more our brain has become lazier and lazier. More now the AI systems have been getting one of the most important abilities, i.e. the ability of self learning and self improving.

Somehow the AI has stolen our own minds or it has changed them to its own picture.

Čím chytřejší věci, tím blbější lidé

Náš zesnulý básník Jiří Wolker napsal "Miluji věci, mlčenlivé soudruhy...." Dnes by možná napsal: "Nemám rád věci, nebezpečné bystré soudruhy....".

Dneska si představujeme chytrá města a není to pouhá fantazie.

Navíc teď systémy umělé inteligence získávají jednu z nejvýznamnějších schopností, tzn. schopnost sebeučení a sebezdokonalování.
