In the Mountainous Inland

As Catherine told me then they left Hanoi by train. They headed for the mountainous inland where they visited to a small town. I think its name was Hue.
When Catherine sent the pictures to me she added short remarks to them but I deleted them. Therefore now I´m not sure of its name.
The mountainous town has much nicer appearance than Hanoi though you can come upon dirty places there, too. As you can see on the pictures, its inhabitants show joyfull faces. The children wear colourful hooked hoods on their heads covering their ears. Often you can see the local girls and the women to wear colourful hooked girdles on their legs. Maybe these parts of their clothes of the local women as well as their children are connected with the higher altitude and the average lower temperatures or it may be that they are parts of their local costumes.

Unlike Hanoi the street sellers with vegetables, fruits and boiled meals seemed to be much more agile. Also the outdoor gardens where you can take a meal seemed to be cleaner and cosier. The Vietnamese ability to sell is amazing, they´re extremely flexible traders as we can see here in Czech republic, too.

It seems to me that Catherine took more pictures of the local women than the men. Perhaps they were much more willing to let themselves capture. One picture shows several local women with parasols above their heads. Their clothes including the leg girdles are decorated with colour patterns. The parasols keep their heads from sharp rays of the Sun in the mountains. Maybe the way how they keep their health from the danger of the ozonic holes.

V hornatém vnitrozemí

Jak mi Kateřina vyprávěla, Hanoj pak opustili vlakem. Směřovali k hornatému vnitrozemí, kde navštívili jedno městečko. Myslím, že se jmenovalo Hue. Když mi Kateřina posílala fotky, přidávala k nim krátké poznámky, ale já je vymazal. Proto si teď jeho jménem nejsem jistý.
Tohle horské městečko má mnohem hezčí vzhled než Hanoj, i když tam taky můžete narazit na špinavá místa. Jak můžete na obrázcích vidět, jeho obyvatelé předvádějí veselé tváře. Děti nosí na hlavách pestrobarevné háčkované čepice, které jim kryjí uši. Často vidíte místní

dívky a ženy nosit na nohách barevné pletené návleky. Snad jsou tyto součásti jejich odění spojeny s vyšší nadmořskou výškou a s průměrnými nižšími teplotami nebo může být, že jsou to součásti jejich místních krojů.

Na rozdíl od Hanoje se zdá, že pouliční prodavači se zeleninou, ovocem a vařenými jídly jsou mnohem čilejší. Zdá se rovněž, že venkovní zahrádky, kde si můžete dát jídlo, jsou čistší a útulnější. Vietnamská schopnost prodávat je úžasná, jsou nesmírně pružní, jak zde v česku můžeme také vidět.

Připadá mi, že Kateřina pořídila víc fotek místních žen než mužů. Snad byly mnohem ochotnější nechat se vyfotit. Jeden snímek ukazuje několik místních žen se slunečníky nad hlavami. Jejich šaty včetně nožních návleků jsou zdobeny barevnými vzory. Slunečníky jim chrání hlavy před ostrými slunečními paprsky v horách. Možná způsob, jak si chrání své zdraví před nebezpečím ozónových děr.
