On The Top,
A Festival of Swollow Tails Butterflies

It took a while only and we were on the top of Lovoš the hill. The first thing which attracted our attention was a continuous present of marked butterflies flattering in the air above both our heads and ones of other visitors. Their flattering flies were too quick I could capture them flying in the air.

There were two choices on the top. Either you could take a rest in a restaurant or you could climb up to its flat roof and enjoy beautiful views of surrounding landscape at all directions. We chose the second one.

When I took some pictures of the landscape we sat on one of benches to take a rest, to have a drink or to have a meal from our own supplies. Suddenly I noticed one butterfly sitting on the pavement of the roof. It was a rare occasion to take a picture of it. There was a few of people only on the sun roof. My butterfly kept sitting with its stretched wings there for a short while but it was enaugh to me to take two shots of it.

Mostly our way to the top led through a natural terrain with no man at our sights. Usual tourists used the touristic path to the top. Then on the top they visited the restaurant and many of them didn´t climb up to the sun roof. I´d say that their experiences had to be much poorer than our ones. To my opinion this way of mass tourism seems to be very boring. No wonder, if we can encounter the omnipresent refreshments everywhere we can go to.

There are more species of the swollow tails butterflies in Czech republic. At the first look the swollow tail of Lovoš was not Papilio machaon, our most often species.
We saw no swollow tail during all our climbing up to the top. Neither they were seen flattering over the open part of the slope where we were alone with no other people at our sights. They seemed to prefer the restaurant with a lot of people rather than flowering plants growing in a steppe like terrain where a man´s foot stepped to very seldom only.

Na vrcholu,
Slavnost otakárků

Trvalo jen chvíli a byli jsme na vrcholu Lovoše. První, co přitáhlo naši pozornost, byla neustálá přítomnost nápadných motýlů, kteří se třepotali ve vzduchu nad našimi hlavami i nad hlavami jiných návštěvníků. Jejich třepotavý let byl příliš rychlý, abych je dokázal vyfotit za letu ve vzduchu.

Na vrcholu byly dvě možnosti. Buď jste si mohli odpočinout v restauraci, anebo jste mohli vystoupit na její plochou střechu a dopřávat si krásných výhledů do okolní krajiny ve všech směrech. My jsme si zvolili tu druhou.

Když jsem udělal několik obrázků krajiny, usadili jsme se na jednu z laviček, abychom si odpočali, napili se nebo pojedli něco z vlastních zásob. Pojednou jsem si všiml motýla, který se usadil na dláždění střechy. Byla to vzácná příležitost vyfotit si ho. Na terase bylo jen pár lidí. Můj motýl tam dál seděl s roztaženými křídly na krátkou dobu, ale mě stačila k tomu, abych ho dvakrát vyfotil.

Naše cesta k vrcholu vedla převážně přirozeným terénem bez člověka v dohledu. Obvyklí turisté používali k vrcholu turistickou stezku. Na vrcholu pak navštívili restauraci a mnozí z nich na terasu nevystoupili. Řekl bych, že jejich zážitky musely být mnohem chudší než ty naše. Podle mého názoru se tento způsob masové turistiky zdá být nudný. Není divu, můžeme-li narazit na všudypřítomné občerstvení, kamkoliv se hneme.

V České republice existuje více druhů otakárků. Lovošký otakárek nebyl na první pohled otakárek fenyklový (Papilio machaon), náš nejčastější druh.
Během celého výstupu na vrchol jsme žádného otakárka neviděli. Nebylo je vidět třepotat se ani nad otevřenou částí svahu, kde jsme byli sami bez jiných lidí v dohledu. Zdálo se, že spíš preferují restauraci se spoustou lidí než kvetoucí rostliny rostoucí ve stepním terénu, kam lidská noha vstupuje jen zřídka.
