On More Plants at The Habitat
behind The Castle in Liblice The Village

The Fig.1: A look through a net of stems and flowers of Aquilegia vulgaris growing in
a numerous population at one section of the habitat next to a sylvan edge. The habitat behind
The Castle in Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.
Obr.1: Pohled skrze síť stonků a květů orlíčku obecného (Aquilegia vulgaris) rostoucího v
početné populaci v jednom úseku lokality vedle lesního okraje. Lokalita za Zámkem v Liblici.
27.5. 2017.

There were other plants at the habitat behind the Castle. I would like to show you some of them on my photos I could take there. Really, the habitat has not been limited to several rare species of the orchids (Orchidaceae) only. It would not be its whole picture.

The Fig.2: Two plants of Valeriana officinalis in flower. No massive occurrence. Its odor is
a great attractant to the cats. The habitat behind The Castle in Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.
Obr:2: Dvě rostliny kozlíku lékařského (Valeriana officinalis) v květu. Jeho vůně je velký
atraktant pro kočky. Lokalita za zámkem v Liblici. 27.5. 2017.

Also I photographed some common species there. Though they were not rare (in the mean time!) they could be graceful or interesting by some other ways. Today the rarity of a plant has often been the main reason why to photo it and to see nothing else at its environment. Therefore I have always tried not to forget so called the other plants.

The Fig.3: Typical leafy rose with a bud in its center of Colchicum autumnale. It flowers in
autumn. I found this species in places within the habitat. This plant is toxic. Its toxin names
Colchicine. It does a good job in various kinds of the biological research. The habitat behind
the Castle in Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.
Obr.3: Typická listová růžice s pupenem ve středu ocúnu jesenního (C. autumnale). Kvete na
podzim. V rozsahu lokality jsem ho nacházel místy. Tahle rostlina je jedovatá. Její toxin se
jmenuje kolchicin. Dělá dobrou práci v různých typech biologického výzkumu. Lokalita za
zámkem v Liblici. 27.5. 2017.

There have been a lot of lovers of the orchids for instance. As soon as the orchids season has happened they have started going to various localities of these rare plants to take shots of them. Then they have displayed their hunts on the Web in their specific communities. To some of them this country has not been enough, they has longed for more and more species growing abroad. They have been no specialists in the tropical orchids but in the terrestrial species within the European continent. The richer hunters the larger areal of their doing. And their main goal? As long as I can observe one of these communities on the Web I would say that the main goal is to astound the others, to compete who of them takes the best portrait of an orchid, who of them hunts the rarest orchid etc. This amusement or a Marry go round has been repeated every year. They have known habitats of the rare species of the orchids very well. Mostly they have neither professional botanists nor naturalists. This seasonal activities are their hobbies. Somehow I have felt that our philosophies have never met.

The Fig.4: This plant in a dense growth is of Carex the genus. Its populations grew in a
mosaic way within the habitat. It is a reliable indicator of the higher humidity. The habitat
behind the Castle in Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.
Obr.4: Tato rostlina v hustém porostu je z rodu ostřice (Carex). Její populace rostly na lokalitě
mozaikovitě.  Je spolehlivým indikátorem vyšší vlhkosti. Lokalita za zámkem v Liblici. 27.5.
2017.
To establish the exact differences between my access to the Nature and their one to the same object is not easy to me. I do not know which of the two ways is better. The only thing what I know is that their way is not my cup of tea.

The Fig.5: Two spikes of Listera ovata fused with the surrounding vegetation due to its yellow
green coloration but they could not escape from our eyes. I can state that this orchid was one of
the most abundant orchids at the habitat. The habitat behind the Castle in Liblice the village.
5.27. 2017.
27.5. 2017.

The human relationships to the Nature are manifold, they range from rational attitudes up to very bizarre and distorted pseudo forms. Once I had the chance to study this phenomenon at an amateur society. The society was specialized in the carnivorous plants and it accepted anybody with an interest in this kind of plants.

The Fig.6: Iris pseudacorus grew in a dry dish. The habitat behind the Castle in Liblice the
village. 5.27. 2017.
Obr.6: Kosatec žlutý (Iris pseudacorus) rostl v suché strouze. Lokalita za zámkem v Liblici.
27.5. 2017.

This topic is very interesting. I could write a lot of pages to it. But in fact mainly I wanted to show you some more plants I photographed at the habitat behind the Castle in Liblice the village. Let´s have a look at them.

The Fig.7: The white fluffy bundles waving in air belong to Eriophorum angustifolium. Again
a reliable indicator of wet terrains. The habitat behind the Castle in Liblice the village. 5. 27.

The Fig.8: Eriophorum angustifolium at the closer view. Specimens of Eriophorum the genus
are in this phase like fen-fires attracting their victims to treacherous places of their habitats.
The habitat behind the Castle in Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.

To by nebyl její celkový obraz.

The Fig.11: Flowers of Tetragonolobus maritimus. The habitat behind the Castle in Liblice
the village. 5.27. 2017.
Obr.11: Květy ledence přímořského (Tetragonolobus maritimus). Lokalita za zámkem v
Liblici. 27.5. 2017.

Také jsem tam fotil běžné druhy. I když nebyly vzácné (prozatím!), dovedou být půvabné či zajímavé nějakým jiným způsobem. Dnes je vzácnost rostliny hlavní důvod proč ji fotit a nic jiného v jejím životním prostředí nevidět.

The Fig.12: I found one specimen of Iris sibirica but only in bud. The habitat behind the
Castle in Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.

The Fig.13: The rare member of Boraginaceae the family in Bohemia, Symphytum
bohemicum was one of the first rarities at the habitat I encountered on. Botanists has included
this species to the C2 category, i.e. the strongly threatened species. Few plants grew in one
place only within the whole habitat. It was a shady place at a sylvan edge. The habitat behind
the Castle in Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.

The Fig.14: Flowers of Symhytum bohemicum at the closer view. The flowers were fading
away. You can see their rests lower under the top complete flowers. The rests consist of
calyxes and long styles. The habitat behind the Castle in Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.
Obr.14: Květy kostivalu českého (S. bohemicum) v bližším pohledu. Květy uvadaly. Jejich
zbytky můžete vidět pod vrcholovými úplnými květy. Zbytky sestávají z kalichů a dlouhých
čnělek. Lokalita za zámkem v Liblici. 27.5. 2017.

The Fig.15: Yet one look at a fading flowers of Symphytum bohemicum in the more detail
way. It deserves our attention once again because it does not belong to the common elements
of our flora. The habitat behind the Castle in Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.
Obr.15: Ještě jeden pohled na vadnoucí květy kostivalu českého (Symphytum bohemicum).
Naši pozornost si ještě jednou zaslouží, protože nepatří k běžným prvkům naší květeny.
Lokalita za zámkem v Liblici. 27.5. 2017.

The Fig.16: To find an albino in populations of Aquilegium vulgaris is no great problem.
Often I have met it. The habitat behind the Castle in
Liblice the village. 5.27. 2017.
Obr.16: Najít albína v populacích orlíčku obecného (A. vulgaris) není žádný velký problém.
Často se s ním setkávám. Lokalita za zámkem v Liblici. 27.5. 2017.
