My Free Impressions from Paris

Paris from Above (III)

In fact we could have the chance to see the famous Eiffel´s Tower from above, something what was withdrawn to all the visitors to this well known metal giraffe.
The Top of Paris has still had no long history and its appearance has been ordinary. A Normal modern higher building with myriads windows.

There, in the circle view a few floors only under the roof of the highest occupied Parisian building, I imagined all the people working or living at the higher floors of this skydraper with all their beautiful and amazing views over Paris. Some of them can see The Victory Arch, some of them can view over the Basilica Sacré Coeur and the Eiffel´s Tower, the other can see the Notre Dame Temple, Seine the river and many other interesting objects all interwoven with tangles of streets, avenues, lanes and smaller or larger squares. When their eyes are tired with the historical parts of Paris, they can refresh them with their looks at the more modern parts as long as they exchange their offices or as long as they visit to the ring dedicated to the public.

But we still weren´t on the very roof of the Top of Paris. We returned to the small hall with two lifts. We thought they lifted us up to the very roof but a servis woman before lifts told us that it was
necessary to step the rest of stairs up by foot. Obviously, the rest of floors to the top were under reconstruction. It took a moment to stand on the roof of the Top of Paris. The roof was roughly a square  platform surrounded with high transparent barriers. A big dark blue point marked its center. We speculated about the dark blue point. I thought it might be a mark for a landing helicopter but my two attendants denied it claiming that the room on the roof was too small to a helicopter´s landing.
There were a few people on the top only. Though it was windy the translucent plastic barriers acted as windbreaks. Some of the barriers had extensions forming a kind of small rooves. You could hide under them in the case of raining.

While me and Vendy were enjoining the amazing pictures of Paris from above, while we were taking next captures, my son Robert noticed a modest stand reminding  a meteo-station rather than a stand with a refreshment. And while our eyes and minds were attracted to the astonishing spectacle down under us, Robert bought three plastic transparent cups looking like tubes with pointed ends, they were narrow cones in sharp and they were filled with champagne. We could toast to all our trip, to our climb up to the highest Top of Paris as well as to Paris itself.

Mé volné dojmy z Paříže

Paříž shora (III)

Vlastně jsme měli možnost vidět Eiffelovu věž shora, něco, co je všem návštěvníkům populární kovové žirafy odepřeno.
Vrchol Paříže ještě nemá dlouhou historii a jeho vzhled je obyčejný. Normální moderní vyšší stavba s myriádami oken.

Tam, v kruhové vyhlídce jen pár pater pod střechou nejvyšší obydlené pařížské budovy, jsem si představil všechny ty lidi pracující či žijící ve vyšších patrech tohoto mrakodrapu se všemi krásnými a úžasnými výhlídkami po Paříži. Někteří z nich mohou vidět Vítězný oblouk, někteří mohou přehlížet baziliku Sacré Coeur s Eiffelkou, jiní mohou pozorovat Notre Dame, Seinu a mnoho dalších zajímavých objektů, všechny protkané spletěmi ulic, cest, uliček a menších nebo větších náměstí. Jsou-li jejich zraky unaveny historickými částmi Paříže, mohou je osvěžit pohledy na modernější části, pokud si vymění své úřady nebo, pokud navštíví prstenec, který je věnovaný věřejnosti.

My ale pořád nebyli na samotném Vrcholu Paříže. Vrátili jsme se do malé haly se dvěma výtahy, mysleli jsme, že nás vynesou až na samou střechu, ale ženská obsluha před výtahy nám řekla, že je nutné vyjít nahoru po schodech. Zbytek pater na vrchol byl zjevně v rekonstrukci. Stanout na střeše Vrcholu Paříže trvalo chvilku. Střecha je zhruba čtvercová plošina obehnaná vysokými průhlednými zábranami. Její střed vyznačuje velký tmavě modrý bod. Myslel jsem, že by to snad mohla být značka pro přistávající helikoptéru, ale moji dva společníci to popírali a tvrdili, že na přistání vrtulníku je prostor na střeše moc malý.
Na vrcholu bylo jen pár lidí. I když bylo větrno, průhledné plastové zábrany účinkovaly jako větrolamy. Některé z bariér měly jakési extenze vytvářející stříšky. V případě deště jste se pod ně mohli schovat.

Zatímco jsme si s Vendym užívali úžasných obrazů Paříže shora, zatímco jsme pořizovali další snímky, syn Robert si povšiml skromného stánku, který připomínal spíše meteo-stanici než stánek s občerstvením. A zatímco naše zraky a mysli poutala ona udivující podívaná dole pod námi, Robert zakoupil tři plastové pohárky, které vypadaly jako zkumavky se zašpičatělým dnem, měly tvar úzkého kužele a byly naplněny šampáněm. Mohli jsme přípít na celý náš výlet, našemu výstupu na nejvyšší vrchol Paříže a také na Paříž samotnou.
